Revised and Updated

A revised and updated Youth Religious Education Policies document has been approved by the Archbishop. These policies will be effective January 1, 2024. Parishes must be in full compliance by August 1, 2024. You can download the new policies document here.

  • Removal of best practices and recommendations that do not amount to policy.
  • Removal of outdated policies, such as the AIDS/HIV policy.
  • Removal of policies that exist elsewhere, such as Child Protection, Social Media, Record Retention, and Sacraments.

2. Revision of Existing Policies
  • Certification Requirements for Professional and Volunteer Catechists
  • Time Allotment for Religious Education programs
  • Program Evaluation and Assessment

3. New Policies

  • Increased Privacy policy
  • Gender Confusion and Gender Dysphoria (DSM-V) policy

A complete
review of this document will be given to Parish Evangelists, including Directors of Evangelization, Directors of Religious Education, and Youth Ministers, at the upcoming Light the Match Workshops on August 1st and 2nd. Register here.

This retreat is designed specifically to help couples prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony following the death of a spouse or an annulment. You will hear stories from couples who have experienced the loss of a spouse, the pain of a civil divorce, the process of seeking an annulment, and the challenge of raising children in a blended family.

On the GENESIS Retreat, also known as Pre-Cana, you will deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ and one another as we unpack the meaning of the questions of consent that you will say "yes" to on your wedding day.
