MARCH 2024

"We Should Glory in the Cross..."

With these words, the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper begins and the Paschal Triduum unfolds before us.  In these holiest days, the Church celebrates the mystery of God's love for us in Jesus Christ: suffering, death, and resurrection.

Our efforts as parish leaders often reflect this same mystery: bringing about needed change - in some cases taking up a cross of suffering and burden - in our faith communities so that new life can begin.  I hope that as the Paschal Cycle continues, and these days of Lent give way to 50 days of unbounded Easter joy, you will find God's grace in your service to your Family of Parishes.

Knowing how busy a time this is for parish leaders, we'll stay out of your inboxes until after the Octave of Easter.  May God bless your Family of Parishes.

Thanks to each Family of Parishes for submitting the March 2024 Progress Report. This 18-month report from each Family of Parishes shows the work of getting closer to conformity with the 31 parameters of Beacons of Light. This information is useful both in monitoring our collective progress as an archdiocese but also to identify areas of further support for parish leaders.
