IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR PARISH LEADERS |
|
SYNOD 2027
DISCIPLE MAKER INDEX |
|
Please share the news and encourage your people: all parishioners in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will be encouraged to take part in the Disciple Maker Index survey as one element of listening for Synod 2027. Parishioner participation will provide pastors and parish leaders with a better understanding of where to focus efforts and energies in future plans and intiatives toward greater mission in our parishes.
Every Family of Parishes should have a Parish Point of Contact who has all materials and the DMI timeline. Please encourage your people to take the survey in the coming weeks.
The DMI survey will run from October 27th to November 24th
Parish survey links will available starting October 27th
In 2026-2027, the responses to the Disciple Maker Index will be included in the listening process for Synod 2027. Archbishop Casey, the synod Preparatory Commission and Secretariat will review and contemplate the input received from the Disciple Maker Index as they discern the primary themes or questions that will be considered at the Synod General Assembly in fall 2027. |

Prayer Resources: One of the most fundamental things Family leaders can do is to pray together. Prayer aligns our ministry with God’s vision and praying unites our hearts and minds with one another through Christ. A prayer resource has been prepared for Family Leadership Teams and other groups of leaders to use each month. The resource draws on the readings for the coming Sunday so that leaders will be especially prepared for and reflect upon the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist. Monthly Prayer > |

Together is more than a single Sunday, it is an opportunity to intentionally welcome those who are searching for connection and an encounter with Christ during the times of year when they are most likely to walk through your parish doors, whether it is Back to School, Christmas, or Easter. Together helps Parishes create a culture of hospitality where every person feels seen, valued, and invited into a deeper relationship with Christ and the Church, because we are better together.
