St. John Paul II said, “It is necessary to view marriage, and consequently the use of sexuality, in the light of the Paschal Mystery of Christ, which logically implies suffering and sacrifice, victory and joy, because it illuminates, purifies, elevates and saves.”

We are always given grace to withstand the particular trials and temptations of the day. Where sin increases, grace abounds all the more. (Rom. 5:20) To equip families in the faith, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will also participate in Safe Haven Sunday, observed the weekend of August 9. Safe Haven Sunday is an effort to highlight not just the societal harms of pornography but the resources available to parishes, families, and individuals to be free. Homes can and should be safe havens for families to nurture faith and chastity.
Keep pressing on! (Phil.3:13-14)
In Christ,
Dcn. David Ulmer
