A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR

In May of 2021, in commemoration of the bicentennial of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, the CNE organized the longest Marian procession ever in the United States. We led a procession with our pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima over the course of 30 days, stopping in over 30 parishes, and traversing over 300 miles.

The fruit of this experience was overwhelming; we witnessed growth in faith and devotion, answered prayer, and beheld conversion every day of the pilgrimage. Years later, we still hear about the profound impact it's had on people’s lives.

This July the CNE will yet again help coordinate a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage/procession. This time it will be a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage involving four routes – north, south, east, and west – all converging in Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress on July 17, 2024. The eastern route is called the Seton Route and will be traveling through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati from July 1-8.

Locally, we are calling our National Eucharistic Pilgrimage events “Jesus is Here.” What can we expect from this event? We know that Mary always brings us to Jesus. This Pilgrimage is the inevitable fruit of the 2021 Marian Pilgrimage. We can expect nothing less than a profound encounter with Jesus Christ. We will never be the same. I invite you to join us!

Natural Family Planning Awareness Week
National NFP Awareness Week, July 20-27, is a national educational campaign by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to focus attention on natural family planning methods and the Church teachings that support its use in marriage.

The dates of National NFP Awareness Week highlight the anniversary of Humanae Vitae (July 25), which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, marital love, and responsible parenthood. The dates also mark the feast day of Saints Joachim and Anne (July 26), the parents of the Blessed Mother. For more Archdiocesan information, contact nfp@catholicaoc.org.
