Pathway Platform Access

Pastors now have the ability to designate key staff and clergy to fully access the Pastoral Planning Pathway platform.  Over 300 parish clergy and staff already have profiles and access to the many resources available to begin the pastoral planning process.  The platform makes all these resources available to all parish leaders so that everyone - not just the pastor - is equipped to lead Beacons of Light in their Family of Parishes.

Soon, parishioner leaders (parish council, finance council, committee and commission members, ministry leaders, et al.) will also be able to access the leader-level resources on the platform.  Stay tuned for more details.

And later this fall, everyone will be able to create their own user-level account on the platform to access many of the resources available. This will help every parishioner in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to participate in pastoral planning within their Family of Parishes.

For now, anyone can check out the essential info on the Pathway, including the 6 guiding principles, the Beacons of Light process, and other important "first things".

Pathway Team

Leadership is the first phase of the Pastoral Planning Pathway. Having the right leaders in place is foundational to any successful initiative, and Beacons of Light is no exception.

During Phase 1, your Family of Parishes will form a Pathway Team to guide the early stages of bringing people together. The team will also foster belonging in your Family of Parishes to more fully engage people in your faith community and to encourage them to live their faith in their homes, local community and the world.

Forming a Pathway Team is specified in Parameter 3:

"By September 1, 2022, every Family of Parishes must form a Planning Team, led by the pastor, to coordinate pastoral planning geared toward the unification of the Family by June 30, 2027."
Your Pathway Team should include representatives from each of the parishes within your Family and will likely include parishioner leaders and staff members. Your pastor will lead the team and may delegate a staff person as the coordinator or point-person of the team.

Fall 2022 Series Begins Sept 13!

The Fall 2022 series of Beacons Roundtable will focus on Phase 1 Milestones and first steps for a Family of Parishes in pastoral planning.  Each 90 minute online session will also include updates to the Pathway platform and information about upcoming events for parish leaders.

Sept 13 will focus on managing transition and the role of the Pathway Team.
