Dear friends,

As I'm sure you know, there is a great desire for spiritual guidance in our diocese - we often receive questions about how parishioners might find a spiritual director, so we'd like to invite the spiritual directors in our diocese to join some well-known directories - SeekDirection and Catholic Spiritual Directors - and refer our parishioners to those directories as needed.

If you are a spiritual director and are open to being listed in the directories, we'd very much appreciate it if you would fill out this form to apply to be listed on SeekDirection, and go through this process to be listed at Catholic Spiritual Directors.

Please send this along to your colleagues and any other spiritual directors in the area you know! We greatly desire to meet this need and hope that this will be a good first step in our response as a diocese.

Called & Gifted Team Training

November 3 - 4

The response has been great, but since we still have a few slots left, this is our final reminder that Called & Gifted Team Training will be Mon., Nov. 3 and Tues., Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Parish Hall of Ascension Catholic Church (2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420). Once you have completed the 3-step Charism Discernment Process (1. Called & Gifted Workshop, 2. Charism Interview, 3. Charism Experimentation), then the Team Training will equip you to provide this discernment process for your parishioners. You must attend both days of the Team Training in full.

St. Gerard Mass of Hope For
the Blessing of Children

All married couples, family and friends are invited to the annual St. Gerard Mass of Hope for the Blessing of Children. Hosted by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, this free event provides an opportunity for prayerful support for married couples experiencing infertility or pregnancy loss. It includes Holy Mass on the feast day of St. Gerard Majella, the patron saint of expectant mothers, followed by a reception with fellowship, delicious hors d’oeuvres and resources.

Document Training

All clergy and parish staff involved with marriage preparation are invited to attend the Marriage Preparation Document Training. This free workshop will feature a presentation by the Chancellor, Fr. Jason Williams, on the various prenuptial file forms. Topics include overcoming difficulties obtaining baptismal records, the documents to be included in the nuptial file, convalidations, recording of marriages/files, destination weddings, and marriage preparation as an evangelization opportunity.
