Celebrating Growth, Acknowledging Challenges |
|
There is much vitality to celebrate in the 57 Families of Parishes of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. There are also challenges to be addressed in the coming years. Archbishop Casey has released the 2026 Parish Vitality Report to bring everyone in the archdiocese up to date.
In addition to facts, figures, stories and witness, there’s an opportunity for you to give feedback on your experience of parish life, which will be used in future planning for our Families of Parishes.
If you have not already, please read the full PVR and respond to the survey. Please share this with all in your community! |

“In our lives as Catholic Christians, the parish holds a special role. It is our spiritual home, a place where we experience Christ’s presence profoundly in Word and Sacrament. A parish is its people, strengthened by Communion and sent forth to proclaim Christ to the world.” |

- Most Reverend Robert G. Casey, Archbishop of Cincinnati |

As part of the Beacons of Light pastoral planning process to best arrange our many resources – human, financial, physical – to better pursue the God-given mission of sharing the Gospel throughout our archdiocese, all Families of Parishes will participate in Family Unity Discernment, including single-parish Families and those Families who have already unified canonically. This is a comprehensive process that will begin in Spring 2026 and unfold deanery by deanery. |

This is the principle behind Impact, a monthly resource to form people as disciples and good stewards who share their gifts and faith, making an impact in their lives and the life of the world. Each month, Impact focuses on themes found in the Sunday readings, connecting Mass with the call to discipleship, growing as good stewards, and sharing faith in daily life. act may be used in your bulletin, on your website, or sent in email blasts to parishioners. Chrism Mass |

March 31 4:00pm |

Join Archbishop Casey and the priests and faithful of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for the annual Chrism Mass, celebrated on Holy Tuesday. In this once-a-year Holy Week liturgy, the archbishop will bless the Oils of the Sick and Catechumens and consecrate the Sacred Chrism to be used in sacramental celebrations throughout the archdiocese in the coming year. The priests will also renew the promises made at their ordination. All are welcome (especially those recently anointed or initiated, or those preparing for Christian Initiation in the coming year) to share in this unique liturgy, and it’s a great opportunity for families to experience our local Church gathered in prayer!

We often lump the thresholds of discipleship into one big bucket. If the journey of discipleship is lifelong, it makes sense that each threshold of that journey will require different levels of formation, accompaniment, and training. Join us as we break open the thresholds of Beginning Disciple, Growing Disciple, and Missionary Disciple. Together we will imagine new ways to accompany people through the thresholds of discipleship and commission them for mission.
